Munzing grew up in [Orange], Calif. as the youngest of four children and the son of a pastor. He worked full time to put himself through college and holds a BS Degree from California State University, [Fullerton] with a dual-major in Real Estate Finance and Industrial Marketing.

In addition to Munzing ’s duties on [Aliso Viejo’s City Council|Aliso Viejo City Council], he also serves as a Director for San Joaquin Hills [Transportation Corridor Agency] (TCA) and formerly served as a Director for the 12th District of [Orange County Council of Governments] (OCCOG); as a Regional Council member of [Southern California Association of Governments] (SCAG); and was an alternate member of the [Aliso Creek Watershed].
In June of 2016, Munzing was re-elected to his third term on the Orange County Republican Party’s Central Committee ([OCGOP]) in the 73rd Assembly District, which covers a large portion of South [Orange County], and was asked to join its Executive Board as an Advisor to the Chairman. With a growing reputation as a fighter for limited government policies, Munzing has also been appointed as a delegate to the CA Republican Party, where he has served numerous cycles on the CAGOP "Platform Committee".
Munzing is a founding member of Aliso Viejo’s Chamber of Commerce, an affiliate member of [Aliso Viejo Republican Women’s Federated], a 26-plus-year member of the [OC Association of Realtors] and has volunteered at [Tustin]’s [OC Rescue Mission], [Second Harvest Food Bank], and numerous other organizations.
