Bill Barker was a registered professional engineer and former Community Services commissioner.

Barker was found dead in his bed around 6 a.m. on November 2, 2010, a Sheriff’s official has confirmed. A 40-year-resident of Mission Viejo, Barker, 72, was one of 11 candidates running for three open seats on the [2010 Mission Viejo City Council]. It appears Barker died of natural causes, Sheriff’s Department spokesman [Jim Amormino] said.
