Biography#
Harrington began living in
Orange County when he was 6 years old. His dad, a Navy man, was stationed at the Los Alamitos Naval Yard and moved the family to
Garden Grove before finally settling in
Buena Park. Harrington moved to
Aliso Viejo in 2005. Harrington is married to
Michele Williams, an
Aliso Viejo resident since 1999. Michele is CEO and broker of
Star Real Estate South County in
Aliso Viejo.
Career#
When he was 21, Harrington joined the
Orange County Sheriff’s Department, beginning a 28.5-year career in law enforcement.
Harrington was first elected to the
Aliso Viejo City Council in 2014, defeating the city’s founding Mayor and current sitting Mayor. He was selected to serve as Mayor Pro Tem in 2016, and as Mayor in 2017 and 2018.
In 2018, Harrington ran for
OC Sheriff-Coroner and lost.
