Welcome to OC Politizone, a website to keep track of the who and what of [Orange County], CA politics. The goal of this website is to solve this problem:

%%quote
''If you hear about a person or organization in regards to OC politics, you should be able to go to one site and find out all you need to about that person or organization, and find out its connections to other people or organizations''.

Think of this as the Wikipedia of OC politics.

It is going to be partisan in who, what and why we research, but it will strive to be non-partisan in the information displayed.

! Phases

The work will be divided into phases. Keep checking [News] for the current progress.

# Enter the election history of each of the government offices in OC so that at a glance, someone can see the complete electoral history of a given office or board. Data courtesy of [OC Vote|http://ocvote.com], [SmartVoter|http://smartvoter.org] and [Ballotpedia|https://ballotpedia.org]. (%%(color:green;font-weight:bold)Done%%)
# Enter each of the races for each of the offices. This is so we capture all candidates and can enter them into the [People] page later. Some candidates may be seen only once, but others pop up in other places. Data courtesy of [OC Vote|http://ocvote.com], [SmartVoter|http://smartvoter.org] and [Ballotpedia|https://ballotpedia.org]. (Pending)
# Enter every person into the [People] page, using a basic template and hopefully finding an identifying photo. Each person's page will include all of the races that they entered, whether they won or lost. (Pending)
# Now the interesting work begins. Each person and organization is researched, with that research being added to the page and cross-referenced with any other involved people or organizations. (Pending)
# Research and record various noteworthy issues. Each issue could have its own page. Add cross-referencing to every person or organization involved. (Pending)
