In addition to Munzing ’s duties on Aliso Viejo’s City Council, he also serves as a Director for San Joaquin Hills Transportation Corridor Agency (TCA) and formerly served as a Director for the 12th District of Orange County Council of Governments (OCCOG); as a Regional Council member of Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG); and was an alternate member of the Aliso Creek Watershed.
In June of 2016, Munzing was re-elected to his third term on the Orange County Republican Party’s Central Committee (OCGOP) in the 73rd Assembly District, which covers a large portion of South Orange County, and was asked to join its Executive Board as an Advisor to the Chairman. With a growing reputation as a fighter for limited government policies, Munzing has also been appointed as a delegate to the CA Republican Party, where he has served numerous cycles on the CAGOP "Platform Committee".
Munzing is a founding member of Aliso Viejo’s Chamber of Commerce, an affiliate member of Aliso Viejo Republican Women’s Federated, a 26-plus-year member of the OC Association of Realtors and has volunteered at Tustin’s OC Rescue Mission, Second Harvest Food Bank, and numerous other organizations.
